Lux Contest 2017
Last Thursday, May 11th at the Livart was held the Competition Lux 2017, and the winners were unveiled. This event underlines the excellence in photography and in illustration in Quebec. This year, Marie-Christine Brisson, partner of the private hospital, was a member of the jury illustration. Benoît Tardif of the agency obtained 2 awards, one for the book cover Géolocaliser L'Amour from Editions Ta Mère and the other one for his participation in the big campaign illustrated for Producteurs de Lait du Québec. Thanks to LG2 and also to Infopresse to support the illustration in Quebec and for your invitation!
Applied Arts 2017 awards / Canada
Our talented illustrators Andi Meier and Emmanuel Polanco swiped two beautiful prizes in the 2017 Applied Arts competition.
Emmanuel Polanco / Steppenwolf Theater's poster / Chicago
You wonder who was the lucky one? Emmanuel Polanco kinked John Malkovich who hung his work - one of the 40 print poster for the 40th anniversary of the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago - in the magnificent bathroom of the actor! John Malkovich speaks about it with his words, which you can listen to and see here.
And the icing on the cake, this poster won already 1 prize at the Competition 2016 Communication Arts ' annual Design and it is also in the running in the CLIO Awards on 2016.
Lux Awards
At Colagene for 3 years now, Benoit Tardif stands out by strong, straightforward and provocative illustrations. He illustrated for the Journal de Montréal, Dinette Magazine, Citroën, The New York Times and many more. His work was rewarded during the last Lux Awards, which the unveiling took place last thursday at the Place des Arts of Montreal. He was given 2 awards: Editorial category for the Airports of Paris, and cultural, for the Théâtre la Licorne with the project 'Intimate Territories".

Véronique Joffre illustrated in paper-cuts an article on OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) for The Parisian magazine. Thereafter, a tribute to Jane Goodall (famous British primatologist), and to conclude, dog walking and their masters!
Bomboland / Numerical or paper-cut advertising!
Bomboland is an Italian duet composed of Maurizio and his partner Elisa. Their secret lies in the paper-cut as well as their mastery of digital technology. They present us with their last projects; a magnificent campaign entitled "Don't let food get in between" for the dental floss's brand Guardian, made in collaboration with DDB Singapore.
We can also find an illustration for Il Giornale della famiglia, plus an illustration of crocodile absolutely charming for PUH magazine. Curious? You can have an overview of their working universe in this video. Be sure to have a small Italian dictionary within easy reach!
